  • Topic: Historically, women have been shut out of the venture capital world. The film “Show Her the Money” follows the courageous journey of female entrepreneurs and the venture capitalists who support them. According to a McKinsey study, women are expected to control $30 trillion in investable assets by the end of the decade. But if they continue to be overlooked for funding, what groundbreaking innovations might we miss—innovations that could change the world?

In this session, we’ll hear from Juanny Romero and Regina Simmons, two visionary entrepreneurs who turned small ideas into two of Las Vegas’ most beloved establishments. Both women have championed small business voices on national platforms, including speaking at the Democratic National Convention. Their passion is infused into every detail of their stores, and together, these women will share the behind-the-scenes journey of building businesses that not only serve the community—but shape it.

  • Speaker: Jes Wolfe, CEO and Chairwoman of Rebel Girls
  • Speaker: Lauren Lopez, Chief People Officer, National Women’s Soccer League
  • Moderator: Claire Cuddihy, Freeman Company Relationship Manager and Hospitality Charitable Foundation Alumni.
  • Topic: Women’s sports have the power to elevate women. Statistically, female athletes are more likely to be leaders later in their careers. Sports also have the power to improve a young girl’s confidence in herself. This conversation brings together leaders from the education and sports worlds to discuss initiatives and efforts toward utilizing the impact athletics can have on young females. $10,000 Grant Program Pitch Initiative

  • Three local female-owned businesses will pitch their companies and why they deserve the Business of Her $10,000 Grant. Each business owner will have exactly 5 minutes to pitch their company to the audience. Our incredible panel of judges will select their favorite business, and the winner will be announced at the Prosecco & Pinot Party.

  • Breakout #1: Unlocking Your Dream Career, led and moderated by Dr. Lori Ochoa
  • What is it that you REALLY want to achieve in your career? Is it that big promotion, starting your own venture, or even speaking onstage? Whatever it is, psychology and research have shown that our fears hold us back from achieving our dreams. Dr. Ochoa will walk you through the steps needed to break through. She will help you identify what’s keeping you stuck and what you need to do to remove the blocks and map your career.
